Vapes and Cartridges

A cannabis vape heats concentrated cannabis oil to a vapour rather than burning plant material. Cartridges thread onto a reusable battery, while all-in-one disposables arrive with the battery built in.

Understanding vapes

What to know before you buy

Cartridge or all-in-one

A 510-thread cartridge needs a compatible battery, which you buy once and reuse. An all-in-one disposable includes its own battery and is discarded when empty. Cartridges cost less over time; disposables need no decisions.

Distillate, live resin, and rosin carts

Distillate is highly refined and usually near-flavourless until terpenes are added back. Live resin is extracted from fresh-frozen plant material and keeps more of the original aromatic profile. Rosin is pressed with heat and pressure and uses no solvents at all.

Battery settings

Lower voltage produces a cooler, more flavourful draw and uses less oil per pull. Higher voltage produces more vapour and can scorch the oil. If a cart tastes burnt, the setting is usually the reason.

Questions

Vapes questions, answered

What is the difference between a cartridge and a disposable vape?

A cartridge screws onto a separate rechargeable battery you keep and reuse. A disposable all-in-one contains its own battery and is thrown away once the oil is finished.

Do vapes smell less than smoking?

Vapour disperses faster and leaves markedly less lingering odour than combustion, which is one of the most common reasons shoppers choose the format.
